An online-only community forum on the proposed Measure C library tax has been scheduled for 5:30 p.m. on Sunday, May 17, on Zoom. The free public event is sponsored by the League of Women Voters of West Contra Costa and Livable El Cerrito.
The speakers will be Greg Lyman for ‘Yes on C’ and Wally Nowinski for ‘No on C.’
Madeline Kronenberg, a long-time leader in the league, gave these details:
Greg and Wally each get a 5-minute opening (10 minutes total), a 3-minute rebuttal (8 minutes total), and a 3-minute closing. There will be 30 minutes will be for Q&A, with each person getting up to two minutes to address each question.
The moderator will be Genoveva Calloway, a former mayor and City Council member in San Pablo.
Registration is required. People are invited to submit questions until 5 p.m. on Thursday, May 14.

An April 28 discussion of the proposed measure at the El Cerrito Democratic Club (ECDC) membership meeting was recorded and is posted on the club’s website. The entire meeting was recorded so viewers interested only in the program would need to skip forward to find it.
